A Couple of Smiles

Here is the outfit that Mrs. Ivy got for Micah. We thought it was so cute! It even had the matching hat to go with it, as you can see from the picture. He wore this to church last Sunday.

Micah went to Croy Creek Traders Fair for the first time in his life. He had to get up at 5:30 and ride along. Luckily for us, we live fairly close by now, so it isn't that far of a drive to go and get back in time to go to church. He was a little sleepy, from having to get up earlier than normal.

Here is a great big smile for the camera! He smiles and laughs so much now! Sometimes I will be holding him and when I look down he's smiling at me, or I'll say something and it will strike him as being funny, so he laughs or smiles. He's a very happy baby!

Eight Weeks Old...

Micah is eight weeks old today. He's somewhere around 15 lbs+ and a lot longer than he was when he was first born. You can tell by the weight alone that he has changed a lot in the last few weeks. Micah looks like a totally different child now, from his earlier days.
We have a blessing to report to you all. About 5:37 this morning, an earthquake struck near New Salem, IL. (Not very close to us.) But we felt the effects of it all the way to our house here in Indiana. The news reported it as a 5.2-5.4 quake! No one was hurt, and as of this time, we haven't found any damage. (Micah is eight weeks old and already experiencing earthquakes! This is only the second one Daddy or Mommy can remember in their whole lives!)

Think Summer!

Think Summer, or SPRING at least...Micah went to a party tonight where the theme was beach party. He got to wear his newest summer outfit, (that may not fit him when summer actually arrives) but at least he is cute for the moment.

Relatives

Micah has a huge family! I didn't realize how large until I sat down and actually made a tally-list in each category. (I only listed living relatives, and only those I could think of off the top of my head.)
Parents: 2 -- (That was the easiest one.)
Grandparents: 4
Great Grandparents: 6
Uncles: 12
Aunts: 3
Cousins: 2
Great Uncles & Aunts: 19
Great Great Uncles & Aunts: 20
2nd Cousins: 40 -- (I think?...)
THATS 108 RELATIVES!!!!
And I can think of another (64 +/-) relatives that don't fit these categories...
Poor guy...thats a lot of names to remember.

Video Games & Swings

Micah joins his uncles; Lemuel, Seth & Teddy around the computer watching Uncle Gabe playing "Age Of Empires" I don't think he understands whats happening, but he likes the pictures.

Cousin John spent some of Saturday morning with us. Here he is pushing Micah in his swing.

As you can see by the photos...Micah is smiling more and more. When he is happy, he is VERY happy.

Here are the things Micah likes, and dislikes.
Likes: To be outside. To eat. To have everyone's undivided attention. To take long uninterrupted naps. To sleep on his tummy.
Dislikes: To be ignored. To sit still for very long. To wait for a meal.

6 weeks

I had my six week appointment Yesterday. I weigh 14 lbs! The midwife says if I keep growing at this rate, I will be 6' 7" and 250lbs by the time I am 6. Mommy thinks I am growing up too fast. I can't help it....I like to eat!
