Civil War & Softball

We went to a reenactment of a Civil War battle at Billy Creek Village on Saturday. We got to spend some time browsing around the village and got to see all of the "soldiers" up close before the battle began. Here are some of the pictures we took yesterday. (Jacy, Mark & Aaron H. standing behind a horse-drawn plow.)

(A Union Couple)

(Two Confederate guards at the Benson Covered Bridge)

(Federal Soldiers)

(Confederate Soldiers)

We had a very full day yesterday. Reenactment, Swimming & Cookout with the H's, and then we had a Church League Softball Game at 9:15 pm. We played the first place team and beat them. Hopefully were on our way to another great season!

Swimming...

Riley H. getting use to swimming too. She's a 6 months older than Micah
(Uncle Thaddeus dunking himself)

One of our all time favorite spots to go swimming is at our friends house. They have a beautiful pond with a nice sand-bottom swimming area. Their pond also has some great fishing! Here are some pictures from our swimming adventure with Micah. When we visit our friends, Micah is "stolen" from Daddy by two of the girls constantly!!! As you can see in the pictures Shelby H. has stolen him away.

video

Here is a video we took of Micah. The picture quality isn't that good, because its made on my Olympus Camedia D-590.
(We went for a walk, and took this out by the bridge. He laughs, and makes faces for the camera.)

IN MY DEFENSE:
I did not know that the microphone on the camera was turned on. When I uploaded the video to the blog I had the sound muted so I didn't hear it the first time. Then when I viewed it on the web the sound was off. I would not have posted it with sound, had I known I sounded as goofy as normal. :) (We will work on soundless clips for later, or less of Dad's voice more of Micah's.)

Reading, Swinging, Pony Party & Roses

"Just A Swingin"

Micah is doing his two "favorite" things, playing in Jeep and reading.

Two pictures from the pony party we did last weekend. We worked for McCoombs over the weekend, while they went to graduation. This is at the Elkhart Co. Fairgrounds, (a beautiful HUGE fairgrounds) you can only see a bit of it in the pictures but its huge! Two of the ponies we used Stormy & Smokey, two pygmy goats and Tonka the miniature horse in the green pen.

This is the climbing rose bush on the front of our patio. Its very pretty! Full of blooms, with more opening each and every day. Hope the rain and wind we are getting doesn't totally destroy it.
